Michael Barranda --- Associate
Michael Barranda joined the law firm of Miller Murphy, LLP after having served as law clerk to The Honorable Stanley A.
Levine and Daniel G. Heath of the Allen Superior Court in Fort Wayne.
Michael graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 2001, with honors, earning a Bachelors of Arts as a triple major
in Economics, Sociology and Computer Applications. Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola
University Chicago School of Law in 2004 where he was awarded an Advocacy Certificate, and was one of four
recipients of the school's Leadership and Service awards.
A participant and coach of Loyola's Vis Moot Arbitration team, Michael participated in the Willem C. Vis International
Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. During law school, Michael worked for the City of Chicago -
Department of Law, Building and Land Use Division, earning a 711 license and prosecuting the city's building code in
Chicago’s Department of Administrative Hearings and Circuit Court.
Michael is the District X Justice of Phi Alpha Delta, Director at Large of the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana,
and is the Secretary of the Notre Dame Club of Fort Wayne Board. He is a volunteer with the Fort Wayne Civic
Theatre and Miss Indiana Scholarship Pageant and a member of the Benjamin Harrison American Inn of Courts.
On numerous occasions, Michael has served as Judge Pro Tempore of the Allen Superior Court.
He was recently appointed to serve on the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Michael grew up in Kendallville, IN and currently resides in Fort Wayne with his wife, Lisa and his daughter,
Christina and son, Jonah.
